The most loyal workers were selected for a meeting with Aliaksandr Lukashenka on May 15, while the most active and discontented ones were not allowed to enter the plant.

Radio Svaboda learnt it from the plant's painter. According to the woman, Ruslan Kryvitski, the section foreman at the 91st paint shop, called six workers on May 14 and ordered them not to appear at work on May 15.

The woman added that workers of the shop earned about 4 million a month, though general director of Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) Fiodar Damatsenka said at the meeting with Lukashenka their salary was 7 million.

Workers of the 91st shop wrote a letter to the shop supervisor and the director last year. They asked to return to the previous level of wages and improve working conditions. The general director said it was impossible to raise wages, explaining it with the volume of production and workforce productivity.
