Some ISPs block Charter website

Internet service providers have received a list of websites subject to access restrictions that is supposed to hit all Belarusian users.

Charter97.org learnt it from a source.

The new list is based on the previous blacklist prepared by the State Supervisory Department for Telecommunication, which, among others, includes independent news websites Charter and Belorusski Partizan. Earlier, the blacklisted sites were blocked for state-owned organisations, educational and cultural institutions, but now access will be restricted for all Internet users in Belarus.

Some ISPs are reported to have fulfilled the order immediately and blocked the Charter website. For example, charter97.org is not available for customers of Minsk-based IP Telcom.

Please, inform us if you have problems with accessing our website.
