Kaliningrad producers start bypassing the "European Somalia"

Kaliningrad producers changed logistics in favour of legal states of the EU.

They say that they are trying to stay away from the "European Somalia" - Belarus.

Director General of Telebalt Viktor Borisenko told about it in his interview to Rosbalt.

"We changed logistics. Now we export machinery through legal EU member states - Lithuania, Latvia. We are moving away from Belarusian lawlessness. It's a little more expensive, but safer. It is not a large sum per unit. Besides, sometimes it takes even more time to drive through Belarus due to large queues", the businessman said.

The total damage of Kaliningrad Company producing household appliances is estimated up to 45 million Russian rubles. According to Borisenko, he is now trying to fight for his money in the legal field. I have already gone to the Belarusian Prosecutor's Office and courts. Other Kaliningrad producers, lost their goods at the border, do the same. Regional authorities and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce render legal assistance.

The total sum of seized goods is 242 million Russian rubles. "We are still trying to get back our money, we will appeal the decision. But still the Belarusian Prosecutor's Office gives no answer. We can neither divide nor include our losses in the price of goods. Our current financial situation is really bad, now we are engaged in dialogue with the recipient", the businessman said. According to him, such situation is impossible in "big Russia". Belarus is a pirate state, "European Somalia". These are Russian goods, but they were taken away in gangster way by Belarusians. They took advantage of that we were out of Russian borders and now blackmailing us, this is the response to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance measures. Belarus should act like a civilized country. Russia also should conduct dialogues, introduce legislative acts", Borisenko stressed.
