Azarenka advances in Doha

Belarus number one Victoria Azarenka had a good start at the Doha 2015 on 23 February.

In the opener the Belarusian world number 48 eased pass German Angelique Kerber (World No.11) 6-0, 6-3 in 67 minutes.

Victoria Azarenka won the Doha tournament in 2012 (beating Australia's Samantha Stosur 6-1, 6-2 in the final) and in 2013 (seeing off Serena Williams of the United State 7-6, 2-6, 6-3).

The current competitions in Qatar are over on 28 February.
