Ukrainian pilot and the Verkhovna Rada Deputy Nadiya Savchenko, who is 68 days into her hunger strike in Moscow jail, refused from glucose injections.

Her lawyer Nikolai Polozov stated, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Liberty.

"The problem is that she refused from injections of glucose through phlebitis caused by catheters - there's just no place to give injections," he said.

According to him, she was offered to drink protein shakes instead of glucose injections.

Savchenko refuses to take any food, Polozov said.

On Dec. 13, 2014 Savchenko went on a hunger strike, which lasts until now. She was transferred to the medical unit Jan. 29.
