A representative of Babruisk says at the forum of small businessmen that about 70% of sole traders are going to close their business.

The national forum of small businessmen “Aims and Tasks of Small Business in Belarus” is held in Belarus Hotel in Minsk. More than 400 small businessmen from all regions of Belarus, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Taxes attend the event, Euroradio reports.

A representative of the Ministry of Trade said the state would not prolong the period of selling goods without certificates. The ministry earlier put forward an initiative to prolong the period of selling remaining goods without certificates that are required by decree No. 222.

Siarhei Filipau from Babruisk says that 70% of the town's market traders are going to close their business.

“I talked to sellers. Seventy percent of them are going to quit their business for two reasons: high rental fees and the fact that 90% of goods on sale are remaining goods without certificates they have to sell within two weeks by 1 March 2015. It is impossible to sell all remaining goods now. People got poor, they don't have money,” he says.
