This decision had been made in the state of emergency with the purpose of supplying the population with drinking water.

The so-called 'head' of Russia-occupied Crimea Sergey Aksenov announced the war-time regime on the peninsula and demanded that wells in Sudak city that belong to five local enterprises were passed to the city administration.

He noted that this decision had been made in the state of emergency with the purpose of supplying the population with drinking water, Censor.NET reports citing Flash Crimea.

Aksenov said the the war-time regime allowed initiating criminal cases against those who inflicted damage to the 'republic of Crimea,' implementing temporary administration, and pass the wells to municipalities. According to the self-proclaimed official, if the decision by the state of emergency HQ is not exercised, he will ask interior ministry agencies to guard the wells and transfer them to the municipality by force.

He added that Sudak city resident remained without water while 'local bourgeois' were fully supplied. "It should not be like that!" Aksenov added.

As reported, Ukraine used to fill up to 85% of Crimea's water needs. After the peninsula's occupation by Russia in March 2014 water supply has been stopped.
