Babrujsk: Observers Recorded False Reporting About 548 Voters

At the polling station №69 in Babrujsk the observers has recorded false reporting about 548 voters at the end of the day.

“Viasna” human rights center reports about this.

Me and another observer attentively counted the voters all day long, we didn’t leave the place and counted 616 people. That is why we were very surprised to find the number of 1 164 voters in the final report! It means the members of the commission faked 90% turnout instead of the real 65%, - says Yauhen Gabrelyan, an independent observer.

The observer says that the observers had not been allowed to come up to the table during the ballot count. Moreover, members of the commission created “barricades”, and blocked the way to the table by armchairs.

- Even visually the number of ballots on the table was less. And they were counting very quickly, for half an hour in total. At the neighbouring polling station №70 the figures by observers and members of the commission differed by 200 ballots, which is more modest than at our polling station. We and other observers have written complaints immediately, – Yauhen Gabrelyan noted.

The polling station №69 has distinguished itself during the early voting as well: dwellers of hostels had been driven to vote there.
