Belarus's international reserves reduced $760m

Belarus golden and foreign currency reserves (the IMF methodology) were 5,059.1 million dollars on January 1, 2015.

They reduced by $760.8 million in December, AFN reports with a link to the National Statistics Committee.

The published data explain what made the government take the so called measures on the stabilisation of the currency market on December 19.

The country's reserves fell $1,591.8 million last year. On January 1, 2014, Belarus's reserves were $6.650,9 million.

The country's foreign currency reserves were $2,882.8 million on January 1, 2015 (a decline of $829.6 million in December 2014). Belarus's monetary gold reserves increased $74.1 million to $1,637.1 million. Other assets were $0.5 million against $0.1 million on December 1, 2014. Special drawing rights (SDRs) reduced $5.7 million to $538.7 million on January 1, 2015.
