Photo fact: 2 dollars in Belarus

Some Belarusians are jesting about the current developments in the National Bank.

They humorously compared a Belarusian ruble with a US dollar. The photo was received by charter97.org from a viewer.

“It is not a fortune, it’s a sum equal to 2 dollars! What have we come to!” - he writes.

We remind that since December 20, 2014 the National Bank imposed a 30% fee for purchase of foreign exchange cash. It was to be used until February 1, however it was annulled on January 8. At the same time, after December 20 the exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble was dropping. For today, the national currency has dropped to a US dollar by almost 40$.
