Today, after meetings with representatives of business, the dictator allowed the Trade Ministry of Belarus to increase prices for some groups of goods.

“If we started to regulate some things manually, then find an opportunity to talk to businessmen, and it especially concerns trade sector, for them to tell you about the problems. And you have the authority for moving things there,” Lukashenka has said today, addressing “the parliament”, AFN writes.

“I do not see any problems [with freezing prices] though,” he added.

“Passing this decision, first of all I meant that resources are much cheaper now compared with the previous crises. So there is no problem in keeping prices at this level. We do not decrease them, however it is possible we would have to regulate prices for some groups of goods manually. It’s no problem,” Lukashenka specified.

We remind that the Trade Ministry has prohibited increasing prices for an indefinite period.
