4-metre white-red-white flag in Minsk centre

A national flag was hung out in Minsk to mark the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Orsha.

The huge white-red-white flag appeared at Minsk's Yakub Kolas Square at around 9 a.m. on September 8. The flag remained there for more than an hour, charter97.org learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD).

BCD activists congratulated Minsk residents on the 500th anniversary of the Victory of Orsha. The four-metre flag over Stalichny supermarket was removed after an hour.
