President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman has stated that he takes the statement of the head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Russia Sergey Lavrov seriously.

Previously Lavrov said there are no Russian troops in Ukraine.

The report was made by ITAR-TASS.

“First of all we should name what is happening in the right words, and admit that a civil war is going on [in Ukraine]. And at the moment it is a civil war between two groups of Ukrainian citizens,” Zeman added.

Earlier the Czech Republic opposed imposing new EU sanctions on Russia.
