Journalists have spent 3 hours in the police department of Frunzenski district.

On Wednesday policemen detained a TV crew of independent journalists. It happened at about 6.30 p.m. not far from Kamennaya Horka metro station. Charter97.org website was informed about that by the press-service of the Belarusian Association of Journalists.

A freelance journalist Vyachaslau Pyashko together with his colleague was filming how activists of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party were collecting signatures of citizens under an address to the Prosecutor’s Office with a demand to check Russian TV channels whether their information is extremist, and ban broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Belarus.

Almost 3 hours passed after journalists were released from the police department. As Pyashko informed, they were interrogated in the police department, however, no reports about administrative offence were drawn up against them.
