Belarusian ultras: The closer election, the more violent war against us

Twenty six football fans will be tried.

More than 20 football fans will face trial after having been beaten by the riot police some days ago before the match between Dinamo Brest and Shakhtyor. Charter97.org learnt it from a representative of BelUltras.

“The guys will be tried. Some of them are likely to be taken into custody. We don't have details so far. Why were they treated so brutally? It is a rhetorical question. There is a constant war against football fans. The election is coming, so we will have more such news. As usual, they will be charged with violating articles 17.1 and 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences (disorderly conduct and mass disorders). If I am not mistaken, 26 people will be tried,” he said.

Belarusian football fans are under close surveillance of the authorities. They face pressure even for using national symbols at matches.
