The decision to increase the income tax is most likely to be passed.

The deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Pyotr Prakapovich said so to journalists on September 17, a BelTA journalist informs.

As said by him, the decision to increase the income tax from 12% to 13% had been discussed, and it is most likely to be adopted. “All the money is to be channeled to families, to support of children,” the Vice Premier said.

Answering the question about the planned increase of the VAT and decrease of the tax on profits, Pyotr Prakapovich noted that “many variants are always discussed.” The final decision is to be passed at the session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers,” he added.

According to the Vice Premier, in general not taxes for enterprises should be increased, but conditions should be created for enterprises to become more financially reliable.

This news item has been updated by BelTA. Yesterday the state news agency informed that Pyotr Prakapovich stated that most probably the decision on increase of the VAT and income tax would not be passed.
