The leader of Russia's communist party says the meeting will be held on August 8.

Gennady Zyuganov said it on August 7 on the air of Russia 24 TV. Answering questions about the situation in Ukraine, the politician expressed his indignation over the fact that the communist party, he thinks, suffers from oppression in Ukraine, BelaPAN reports.

“My colleagues Symonenko is being harassed, the party's headquarters was burnt, his family members are also being harassed. He visited all European capitals on our request. He was in Vienna, he's just returned from Helsinki. There will be a press conference in Berlin. We meet tomorrow in Minsk, Belarus. I thank Aliaksandr Lukashenka, who will come to the meeting. We will discuss all problems together,” Zyuganov said.

The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) plans to visit the Great Patriotic War Museum in Minsk.

Petro Symonenko's spokeswomen Viktoria Georgiyevskaya declined to confirm the information about the upcoming meeting. The CPRF's press service was unavailable.
