Putin awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky to Lukashenka

Russian President Vladimir Putin phoned the Belarusian dictator.

The two rulers in a phone call exchanged views on Russian-Belarusian union cooperation, the Kremlin press service said.

They discussed the implementation of the results of the August 26 Minsk meeting of the Customs Union leaders with the Ukrainian president and EU representatives, noting it was important to organize consultations of a contact group in Minsk with the participation of representatives of Kiev authorities, southeastern regions, the OSCE and Russia.

The Russian President also signed a decree awarding the Order of Alexander Nevsky to Lukashenka.
