The changed status of Crimea reduced the number of people in Miskhor-based health resort Belarus.

It was said by health resort director Barys Andrasiuk, BelTA reports.

According to him, the main reason for the decreased number of tourists is difficulties in passing through Ukraine. The current occupancy rate is 68%, which is rather high in comparison to other Crimean resorts. Other tourist facilities have an occupancy rate of from 1% to 45-50%.

The director explains good performance of Belarus resort by changes in logistics: it began to attract more foreigners and plans to continue the trend. The resort is expected to take part in tenders for recreation in 21 Russian regions. “But citizens of Belarus remain a priority for us,” Barys Andrasiuk assured.
