Minsk hit by floods again

Public transport was disrupted in Minsk in the morning after a heavy rain.

Readers of charter97.org report that a part of Independence Avenue, Dzerzhinsky Avenue, Partyzanski Avenue, Arlouskaya Street, Bangalore Square, many streets in Zialiony Luh districts were flooded. Special vehicles towed trolleybuses out of the flood-hit part of Shevchenko Boulevard. Traffic in Bahdanovich Street, Volgograd Street, parts of Masherau Avenue, Niamiha Street, Kamennaya Horka district, Karl Liebknecht Street was blocked.

People were late for work.

Thunderstorms and heavy rains are forecast for most of Belarus today.
