  • 8.07.2014, 16:05

The Delegation for Relations with Belarus will keep working in the new composition of the European Parliament.

The statement was made by Carl Miner, an assistant to Elmar Brok, chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

“Of course, the Delegation will continue its work,” he said. He added that the composition of the delegation would be approved during the European Parliament’s plenary meeting on July 17 and the meeting to elect the chairperson and deputy chairpersons of the delegation would be held in October, BelaPAN reports.

The Delegation for Relations with Belarus has been working in the European Parliament for more than 10 years. Since June 2012, it had been headed by Polish MEP Filip Kaczmarek, who was not re-elected to the European Parliament.
