Miasnikovich finds who's to blame for failures

The Belarusian prime minister blamed directors of companies for failure to reach economic targets.

Mikhail Miasnikovich said it before he heard out the reports of governors, ministers and heads of concerns on the expected results of the Belarusian economic performance in the January-July period, BelTA news agency reports.

“Failure to implement the targets is a serious act of negligence. Those responsible for it should be taken to account,” the Belarusian PM noted.

According to Miasnikovich, a decree to toughen the responsibility of executive officers is due to appear in the near future. He was already signed by the head of the government and waits to be approved by Lukashenka.

“It provides for strict measures for responsibility of the personnel. Those fired for failure to observe production, technological and labor discipline will not be able to occupy even low-level posts within at least five years,” he said.

Mikhail Miasnikovich expressed his concerns about inactivity, indifference and even irresponsibility of some managers in the fulfillment of targets: “They work with the personnel badly which leads to a lack of ideas.”
