Another activist detained in Minsk

Apart from the leader of the Alternative organization Aleh Korban, an activist Uladzimir Siarhiejenka has been detained.

We would remind that yesterday Aleh Korban, the leader of the public association Alternative, was detained at his apartment.

The reason for the detention could be the poster “For independent Belarus”, displayed by Alternative’s activists in Minsk metro on 30 June. The activist managed to send an SMS to friends, saying that he was taken to Minsk Partisan district’s police department.

According to human rights activists, police detained another Alternative’s activist Uladzimir Siarhiejenka, who was also taken to Partisan district’s police department.
