Russian officer attempted entering Ukraine from Belarus

The Russian was going to participate in the war in Donbas.

The border guards of the Chernihiv border control unit did not allow in Ukraine a reserve officer of Russia’s Armed Forces. The information comes from Ukraine border service.

“The Russian was travelling on a passenger bus Homiel-Kyiv through the border crossing point ‘Novy Yarylovichi’. During the documents check and interview the man claimed he wanted to participate in the fighting in the territory of Ukraine”, - the message says.

In the course of the luggage inspection border guards found a military certificate of a reserve officer of Russia’s Armed Forces, several other certificates – of a Russian Federation pilot, of an air traffic controller of the Russian Federation, of a military pilot (navigator), and a civic aviation navigator, and a GPS navigator device.

Security Service officers in Chernihiv region have been informed of the incident. The Russian citizen has been banned from entering Ukraine for 3 years and deported.

It came out earlier that the terrorists in Donbas had acquired a fighter jet of unknown model.
