Head of press-centre of “LNR”: Lukashenka will support us

Separatists of Luhansk are convinced that Lukashenka is to listen to their request to recognize their independence.

It has been informed by the spokesperson of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk People’s Republic” (“LNR”) Vladimir Inogorodsky, BelaPAN informs.

As said by him, the authorities of Belarus could have failed to receive the address: documents are to be sent to leaders of states in a matter of days.

“Starting from today we send scanned copies through email, and then we send originals through FedEx v courier service to all countries, including Belarus. We are to send them directly to the Presidential Administration in Belarus,” he specified.

To the question whether “LNR” representatives are informed that Lukashenka called “referendums” held in Luhansk and Donetsk regions illegal, Inogorodsky answered that “LNR” representatives hope Lukashenka is to support “the fraternal nation”.

“We believe that people of Belarus are a fraternal nation. We think that Lukashenka should pay attention to that. Maybe he has changed his mind, as in fact genocide against our people is taking place, and we are the Slavs. We have no one to address but our brothers. We had not attacked anyone, we are standing on our own land. I think that the truth is on our side, and he (Lukashenka) is to support us,” the spokesperson said.

Yesterday “Luhansk people’s republic” addressed the authorities of Belarus with a request to recognize its independence. The website of the “republic” even has a scanned copy of the address to the leadership of the country, as well as to 14 states of the world (for instance, Nicaragua, Russia, Cuba, China and even Russian regions – Ingushetia and Chechnya).
