Russia says it stops consultations on the Geneva accords.

Interfax-Ukraine has learnt it on Friday from Charge d'Affaires a. i. of Russia to Ukraine Andrei Vorobyov.

“In connection with last night's tragic events in Slovyansk, which put into question the further viability of the Geneva accords of April 17, 2014, the embassy sees no point in its representatives attending consultations at the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine,” the diplomat said.

According to Andrei Vorobyov, he remains in touch with the head of the OSCE Monitoring Mission in Kyiv, Ertugrul Apakan, and representative of the OSCE's chairperson and Swiss Envoy to Ukraine Christian Schoenenberger.

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine and representatives of the countries that took part in the Geneva meeting on April 17, 2014 (the EU, Russia, the US and the Swiss OSCE Chairperson-in-Office) hold daily consultations in Kyiv.
