Belarus’ boxer Valery Yanchi takes European champion title

Belarusian professional boxers have taken wins in prestigious competitions.

Belarusian athlete Valery Yanchi claimed the European flyweight champion title (under 50.8kg) in the Italian city Rho defeating Italian Andrea Sarritzu with a unanimous decision of the judges.

Promising Belarusian boxer Kirill Relikh took a stunning victory in the UK’s Sheffield knocking Australia’s Ty Gilchrist out on the second minute of the first round. The Belarusian has 16 wins in 16 games, with 14 of them being Kos. Kirill Relikh is the CIS current champion in the 63.5kg weight category and ranks 4th best in the European rating.
