Ukraine Prosecutor General’s office has issued order to arrest Yanukovych

Several criminal cases have already been started against the ex-president.

Ukraine Prosecutor General’s office has issued an order to detain and deliver to court the country’s ex-president Viktor Yanukovych and a former head of the State Security Service Aleksandr Yakimenko in the framework of the investigation of mass murders in Kyiv city center on 18-20 February. This was announced by the acting chairman of Ukraine Security Service Valentyn Nalivaychenko, LIGABusinessInform reports.

Earlier Nalivaychenko reported that mass murders had taken place “under direct supervision” of the ex-president.

Prosecutor General’s office has started already several criminal cases against him. The ex-president is being accused of mass murders of citizens, embezzling state property, seizure of power in an unconstitutional way and actions aimed at the overthrow of constitutional order.
