Preventive supervision over Vinahradau prolonged for half year

The preventive supervision over Zmena leader Paviel Vinahradau, which expires on 25 April, has been prolonged for another half year.

The activist reported that on his social network pages. The case was considered today at the court of Minsk’s Moscow district, BelaPAN reports.

Following the advice of police, Vinahradau decided to leave Minsk for Biarezina for the time of the May holidays and the Ice Hockey World Championship, in order to avoid administrative persecution.

The activist was convicted on charges of protests manifestations against the rigged presidential elections of 19 December 2010. He was sentenced to four years in high security penal colony, then released by Lukashenka’s pardon decree.

After the release he was repeatedly taken into custody on administrative cases. The latest time he was arrested in March this year for 25 days.
