Bronislaw Komorowski: Situation is dramatic

Poland’s National Security Council meets due to the situation in the Crimea.

On Monday president Bronislaw Komorowski will hold an extraordinary meeting of the National Security Council on the situation in the neighboring country. “The situation is very serious, not to say dramatic. It is the matter of the violation of the Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty”, - he said.

According to Poland’s president, the Poles are concerned with their own security due to the presence of troops in Ukraine, which is Poland’s closest neighbor, Ukrainian office of the Radio Free Europe reports.

Earlier the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged the Poles and European leaders to join efforts for the sake of preserving peace in Ukraine.
