KGB asks why Belarusians visit Ukraine

  • 27.03.2014, 16:04

Officers of the special services ask why Belarusians visit the neighbouring country.

Charter97.org has learnt it from a reader living in Homel.

He says KGB officers “visit plants and talk to the people who go to Ukraine too often”. In particular, KGB officers talked to a friend of the reader.

Hundreds of Belarusians visited Kyiv and participated in the protests on Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square). Belarusian Mikhail Zhyzneuski was among the first victims of clashes in Ukraine's capital.

Many Belarusians also go to Ukraine for shopping – clothes and food are cheaper there.
