Vital Rymasheuski: Lukashenka draws Belarus into war on Russia's side

The Belarusian dictator allows involving the country into the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on Russia's side.

The statement was made by Vital Rymasheuski, a co-head of the organising committee to create the Belarusian Christian Democracy party. He spoke to charter97.org about Lukashenka's recognition of the annexation of Crimea. He emphasised that the deployment of additional Russian fighter jets and the increased presence of Russian troops in Belarus were more important than the statement.

“Actually, we can say that at least the Russian Air Force is preparing to invade Ukraine from Belarus on Lukashenka's permission and with the involvement of the Belarusian troops, at least the border troops. In fact, Lukashenka is drawing Belarus into a war on Russia's side. He understands that even if Belarus turned its back to Russia, he couldn't expect something from the West, unlike Ukraine. The West has demonstrated its weakness and inability to protect its partners from the dictatorial aggression in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” Vital Rymasheuski is confident.

Lukashenka recognised in a recent conversation with journalists in Minsk that Crimea was a part of Russia.
