The activists of Homel, who had been detained near the embassy of Russia in Minsk, were sentenced to 15 and 11 days in custody.

BelaPAN learnt it from human rights activist Anastasia Loika.

The Tsentralny district court heard their cases for violating the rules of organising and holding mass events or pickets (article 23.34 of the Code of Criminal Offences).

Karashkou got a longer term, because it's his second trial for the past year, according to Loika.

Zmitser Karashkou and Stanislau Bula appeared in front of the Russian embassy with posters “Putin is enemy of Ukraine and Russia” and “Putin, hands off Ukraine. No war”.
