The ruler warned about possible new problems in the country's economy.

Lukashneka said it yesterday closing a meeting to discuss the industrial development, his press service reports.

At the end of the meeting, Lukashenka ordered the government to analyse all problems and propose particular decisions that will give economic effects.

“I’m not trying to escape and jump into another boat. We are all in the same boat. In cannot allow any cataclysms in the country. We cannot have any cataclysms except for one reason – economy, in this particular case – industry,” Lukashenka said.

The ruler warned prime minister Mikhail Miasnikovich he would have to answer for results after the first quarter of the year.

“I give you all rights to change the situation. Make personnel decisions,” he said. “Do everything you find necessary. I don't want to hear later that you didn't have enough power. No forgiveness, remember it. I mean achieving this year's targets. Inventories are the key issue.”

Lukashenka also paid attention to the unsatisfactory work of officials assigned to certain enterprises.

“I did nothing there. You visited them like big bosses, talked to the director, met with the staff. But I sent you to solve particular problems of manufacturing,” he said.
