Belstat: Belarusians became 9% poorer

Nominal average monthly salary has decreased by 9.1%.

Nominal average monthly salary of employees in the Republic of Belarus in January 2014 accounted for 5 322.4 thousand roubles and decreased by 9.1% (or 535.2 thousand roubles) as compared to December 2013, - the National Statistics Committee reports.

Net remuneration (the salary, calculated with the consideration of the growth of consumer prices for goods and services) in January 2014 grew by 5.8% in January 2014 as compared to January 2013, but decreased by 10.5% as compared to December 2013.
