Lukashenka: Makei and MFA may resign

The ruler complains about the MFA's performance during a tea party in Sochi.

Lukashenka said as he congratulated Darya Domracheva on her victory in biathlon women's pursuit on Tuesday that the Foreign Ministry's officials may resign.

“Makei and MFA may resign! Entire Russian, the Germans, the French! Belarus, Domracheva! Thank you for the victory!” Lukashenka said.

The ruler demanded that Darya Domracheva bear the Belarusian national flag at the closing ceremony.

Lukashenka's youngest son, oligarchs Yuy Chizzh and Alexander Shakutin attended the solemn reception on the occasion of Darya Domracheva's victory.

The Belarusian biathlete won the first Olympic gold medal yesterday.

Darya Domracheva came first in the women's pursuit at the Olympic Games in Sochi. The Belarusian biathlete started ninth and finished first with a time of 29 minutes and 30.7 seconds. She missed one target in four shootings. Norwegian Tora Berger was the second (+37.6 seconds and one missed target), Slovenian Teja Gregorin won bronze (+42.0 seconds and one missed target).
