Polish handball player not let into Belarus

A player of the handball club Lovćen from Montenegro was denied Belarusian visa.

A Pole Lukasz Achruk did not play for the Montenegrin team Lovćen in the game versus Brest Miashkou Handball Club at the international SEHA-league tournament, sportowefakty.pl web-site reports.

Several days before the game the handball player’s participation was in question. As a result Belarusian authorities denied Achruk a visa. For this reason he did not play in Brest, where Montenegro’s champion lost to the Brest team 28:34.

It should also be pointed out that during the game at the Viktoryja sports complex riot policemen inspected everyone. This was done in a rude manner. Supporters were searched, as well as the complex’s workers and journalists, Montenegrin handball player and even children.
