Belarusians call on the Ministry of Information to stop blocking websites

Vitali Rymasheuski, the co-Chairman of the organizing committee on "Belarusian Christian Democracy" party establishment, was the initiator of the petition.

The petition addressed to the Ministry of Information is available on change.org. Everyone can sign it.

"Since December 19, 2014 in Belarus charter97.org, naviny.by and other popular independent online resources have been illegally blocked, it says. - Deprivation of citizens' right to get information violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.

The citizens of the Republic of Belarus have the right to free access to information from various sources.

We, the undersigned, call on to stop blocking charter97.org and other independent Internet resources. We require stopping an unwarranted censorship of the Internet".

The petition was published in the evening on December 20.
