Prosecutor asks to sentence ex-director of Borisovdrev to 6 years in colony

The court examination in the case of Uladzimir Maltsau has finished.

The prosecutor asks to sentence the former Director General of "Borisovdrev" Uladzimir Maltsau to 6 years of deprivation of freedom in a penal colony with a reinforced regime, BelaPAN informs.

We remind that the director of Borisovdrev is charged under Article 424 Part 3 of the Criminal Code (official misconduct), which provides for a punishment of 3 to 10 years and seizure of property.

It should be noted that in the address to the court the public prosecutor Alena Filipovich didn’t mention the imputed damages of Br 17 bn and didn’t ask to confiscate the property of the criminal defendant.

A recess in the court session was announced. After that Maltsau’s trial lawyer Dzmitry Harachka is going to appear in the court, and then the defendant is to make the final statement.
