Romania stands for the sanctions against Russia to be in place and lift them if necessary.

Bogdan Aurescu, Minister for Foreign Affairs in Romania, said about it during the press-briefing, reports ZN.ua.

“The situation in neighboring Ukraine, with a rich Romanian diaspora, is still urgent and keeps getting more worrying in its eastern part. In this context it is important to hold the EU sanctions’ course and even toughen them if necessary. And also efforts to resolve the conflict should not be abandoned. Besides, we will continue to support reforms in Ukraine along with other EU member-states”, said Aurescu.
