Mikalai Statkevich: Air base in Babrujsk is convenient place for strikes against Kyiv

Lukashenka is drawing Belarus into war.

This statement has been made by the political prisoner, reserve Lieutenant Colonel Mikalai Statkevich. His words are posted on the official Facebook account of the politician.

“As for a war, Heaven forbid, if it happens, we could be involved in it. I think that the planned air base in Babrujsk is installed exactly for that. It’s just a little more than 200 kilometres from the border on Ukraine. And 150 kilometres further is Kyiv. It is a very convenient place for air strikes. But what’s the use of that for us?

That’s the end of the “peacekeeping” story,” he stated.

We remind that the air base of Russia is to start functioning in Babrujsk (Bobruisk) in 2016. Su-27 fighters are to be stationed there.
