Rent tax in Minsk to rise 50-70%

The fixed tax on short-term rentals will be significantly raised in Minsk in 2015.

The tax will be increased 12-15% for individuals and 50-70% for sole proprietors.

Individuals rent out 52,000 flats in Minsk. As many as 800 sole proprietors are involved in the renting business. The city receives about 60 billion rubles of taxes from short-term rentals, BelaPAN reports.
