Loses of export earnings due to the devaluation of the Russian ruble were about $160 million in August-October.

“The Russian ruble is falling. It's not good. Our losses were about 8.6%, or $160 million for August, September and October,” deputy minister of agriculture Vasili Sedzin said today.

According to him, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food does not rule out the possibility of raising export prices to minimise the losses, AFN reports.

Commenting on the situation with restrictions on the export of pork to Russia due to African swine flu, Sedzin said many Belarusian meat packing plants would resume deliveries to Russia from December 1.
