Rally on Dziady scheduled for November 2

The Minsk city authorities permitted a rally on the day of commemoration of the dead, Dziady.

The city authorities say in their answer to the organisers that taking into account the experience of holding similar events in previous years, the rally scheduled for November 2 is permitted with a total number of participants of not more than 5,000 people, Narodnaya Volia newspaper writes.

The schedule includes:

10:30—11:00 – People gather near the Minsk Watch Plant (95 Independence Avenue);

11:00—14:30 – Participants move from the Minsk Watch Plant along Independence Avenue, Kalinouski Street, Sedykh Street, Karbyshev Street, Gamarnik Street, Miroshniichenko Street, the Minsk Ring Road (pedestrian underpass to the Kurapaty memorial area).

14:30—17:00 A rally in the Kurapaty memorial area.
