Memorial to Viktar Ivashkevich opened (Video)

A solemn opening of the memorial to one of the leaders of Belarusian opposition took place on October 18.

A video from the Paunochnya Cemetery of Minsk, where Viktar Ivashkevich was buried, appeared on YouTube today.

The memorial depicts a six-pointed cross with a bas-relief of the politician, who died on October 3 last year, and a bronze Pahonia (Chase) coat of arms in the centre. A line from Anatol Sys's poem devoted to Viktar Ivashkevich “Freedom inspires me” is engraved in the memorial.
