October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 have been declared idle days that will be paid 2/3 of the salary rate.

Charter97.org learnt it from a source at Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ).

The order on idle time was signed by general director Damatsenka and head of the trade union committee Kartsau. Workers were informed about the decision on October 1.

According to the document, the decision was taken to “optimise working hours of employees of OAO MTZ”.

Workers will receive 2/3 of the salary rate.

A similar order was released a week ago, but it provided only for four idle days (October 3, 17 and 24). It was later cancelled and replaced with the official four-day working week.

According to the data of the National Statistics Committee, Belarus produced 37,600 agricultural and forestry tractors in January-August 2014, which is 14.6% less than for the same period last year.
