Russian flag sellers reach Brest

  • 15.10.2014, 8:06

People distributing Russian flags were noticed in Brest.

The website Virtual Brest writes that earlier sellers offered small Russian flags together with official Belarusian symbols, but now they sell only large flags of the neighbouring state.

The flags are not expensive, so some drivers agree to buy them out of pity and place them on the dashboard.

A number of distributors were detained by the police in Orsha this summer. As a rule, they “work” in one town for a week and move to another town.

Russian flags are distributed in Minsk and other big cities, including Babruisk, Hrodna, Vitebsk, Homel, Orsha, Polatsk and Baranavichy. The campaign is carried out by pro-Russian organisations working in Belarus.

Local authorities do not react to the facts of handing out flags of the neighbouring country in Belarus.
