Henadz Davydzka: We'll never ban Russian TV

Ukraine bans Russian TV channels in vain, the head of the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company thinks.

Henadz Davydzka said it to journalists on October 9 before a meeting with activists of the pro-presidential youth organisation BRSM, BelaPAN reports.

“This is a silly proposal,” Davydzka thinks. “The current information space makes all attempts to ban anything senseless. You can watch everything on the internet.”

He thinks Belarus will never take such measures.

In August, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry included 14 Russian TV channels, which were accused of war propaganda in Ukraine, in the blacklist. Channel One Channel One. World Feed, RTR-Planeta, Rossiya 24, NTV-Mir, TVCI, Rossiya 1, NTV, TNT, Peterburg 5, Zvezda, REN-TV, RT, Life News and RBK-TV were banned.
