Belarusian mobile company BelCel denied license renewal

The Belarusian mobile company BelCel has been denied the renewal of the license for communication services.

The Ministry noted that the decision had been made in view of the company’s failure to fulfill the terms of the license. In particular, the company has failed to enable the mobile cellular communication standard IMT-MC-450 in the area populated by 90% of the Belarusians and in several sections of the motorways specified by the license.

BelCel’s license for communication services is valid till 23 January 2014.
