Russian MFA demands to release Baumgertner

Moscow insists on the immediate release of Uralkali CEO.

Grigory Karasin, a Russian deputy foreign minister, received the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Ihar Petryshenka on September 6.

They discussed a number of practical aspects in the Russian-Belarusian relations, the press service of the Russian MFA reports.

Special attention was given to the actions by the Belarusian law-enforcement bodies in relation to top managers of Uralkali and former executives of the Belarusian Potash Company (BPC).

Moscow again stressed it insisted on the immediate and unconditional release of Russian citizen Vladislav Baumgertner and his unimpeded return to the Russian Federation.

It became known today that Uralkali CEO was left in the KGB detention facility.
